Frontiers in Skin Immunity

The goal of this symposium is not only provide an expert overview about the hot topics in skin research, but also to present the work of the SFB TR 156 at the end of its third fundng period. The TR156 is a world unique consortium that bundles the research activities of the three universities Heidelberg, Mainz, Tübingen in skin immunity. Its goal is to provide better insights in the skin immune system in a more "wholistic" approach. Therefore dermatologists, immunolgists, microbiologists and bioinformaticians are working together in this grant to gather a more complete and complex picture of the immune system of the skin and its interactions with systemic immunity. It is granted by the German funding association (DFG).
