Interactive Online Course: Basics in Dermatopathology

Microscopic examination of skin biopsies requires specific pathological knowledge and experience. Digital pathology makes it possible to organize an interactive online course. By dividing the course into 4 half-days days, colleagues around the world can be reached across time zones for 3,5 hours a day. After introductory lectures and demonstrations, annotated slides and the manuscript can be studied independently on a teaching online platform.

Target audience

Residents and fellows in Dermatopathology
Specialists in Dermatology and Pathology

Main topics

Principles of dermatohistological diagnosis, basic dermatopathological terms, structured instructions for the diagnosis of inflammatory dermatoses and cutaneous tumors.
Emphasis on dermatopathological patterns, criteria and clues, diagnostic algorithms and differential diagnosis, communication with clinicians (clinical-pathological correlation).
